The mini abstract series are made on my mini Mirrix Saffron Loom - possibly my favourite loom as it is small enough to take anywhere, and has now visited several continents!

For the Gaps series, I started to explore how leaving a handful of the vertical warp strings uncovered can become part of the design. I loved the effect, and somehow so many different colour schemes just had to be woven that I ended up making quite a few! One lovely lady has five of these as a set...

These have to be finished very neatly, so the loose ends cannot be seen through the gaps - I love that once the ends are woven in, they are almost the same on the back as they are on the front!
